- should i withdraw a class after a first exam fail?
Is withdrawing a class because of a fail grade worst or trying to tough it out and make up that fail grade and risk messing up my overall GPA worst? I guess my question is, does a "W" look better than a "F" on the transcript?

My point of view on this is a "W" is just what it is on the transcript, a withdrawal, it does not mean much. People do it all the time for various reasons besides a failed grade, and it's alright as long as you retake that class again and do decent on it.
