Will I be able to get more financial aid help if i was unemployed the prior year?

You may not necessarily get any more financial aid, but its more likely for you to get some help if you did not have any income. I think the government also looks at your parent's income to determine the aid amount.

They will look at how much your parents are making, if they are making considerable amount and claiming you as a dependent on their taxes. Then you probably won't get much at all.
