What are the salary differences between someone that has a graduate degree and someone who has undergraduate degree? For instance if a candidate is going for the same position, what will happen?

It depends on what industry you are in, but if you are competing with other candidates for the same position and you hold a higher degree. HR may give you a little bit more in salary, but don't expect to be 10-20G difference. Employers have a salary range for eveyr position, so unless you have some idea what the range is, don't ask for an astronomical amount that's unreasonable.
