- Background checks on new faculty and staff hires?
Does your school do background checks on all new full-time and part-time employees including the new hires for staff and faculty members?

As far as I know, our school does perform background checks on all potential employees including full-time and part-time instructors, faculty members, staff, coaches.
However, we do not do background checks on student employees.

I think all school employees should have background checks. With our nation's history of violent incidents that happen in our schools, the schools need to do the necessary due diligence to protect the school, the students and their employees. A background check for all employees can definitely minimized some risks.
