  • Politic Affiliation on CV?

If someone has actively participated a political party, say Democratic Party or Republic Party, and played an important role in some of those politic activities. Should the person include that experience in his or her CV? If including those experience, would the person risk alienating some of the search committees who may be affiliated with the other party? If not included, then a big part of his / her leadership experience will be missing.

What is your opinion about this?

One way may be to mention those activities in general terms without revealing the political affiliation, something like "I was a coordinator in a successful fundraising activity for one of two major US political parties."
