- More layoffs looming after United and Continental merged?
Do you think more people are going to lose their jobs after United Airlines has agreed to buy Continental?

Currently, Continental's base is stationed in Houston, Tx. With this merger, Houston will no longer be the hub for the old Continental, which means, just like any other companies going through a merger, they will restructure and consolidate staff and chances are the jobs are going to migrate out of Houston. There will be people losing jobs in Texas.
