  • Would you go outside your industry to look for a job?

If you haven't been able to find a job in your own industry for months, would you go outside your industry to look for a job?

If you are in need to pay bills, like so many of us do, at some point, you going to have to find any job you can get your hands on. Going out of your industry may not be a terrible thing, every experience count as experience on your resume, as long as you can explain it during an interview, employers will understand the situation and it might end up being an add-on value that separate you from one candidate to the next.

There are tons of story out there how CEO of small business company is your new Pizza Hut delivery guy. That's a little bit extreme, but it's happening all over the place. There's nothing wrong with that, when your industry is not hiring and struggling, you have to find alternative contingencies.
