I've heard many people said that a degree is just a piece of paper and you can't really apply what you have learnt in college to the real world or a real job situation. I think it's 50/50, getting a college degree is like a foundation for everything, you grow up quite a bit as a person, whether if it's physically or mentally, while going through your college degree and once you start working, you will gain a different type of experience.
