  • Fontbonne University, a Catholic coeducational institution of higher learning sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, is rooted in the Judeo-Christian tradition. The university is dedicated to the discovery, understanding, preservation and dissemination of truth. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered in an atmosphere characterized by a commitment to open communication, personal concern and diversity. Fontbonne University seeks to educate students to think critically, to act ethically and to assume responsibility as citizens and leaders.

Our classes have an attractive 13:1 student-faculty ratio, and we have a student body of approximately 3,000. Fontbonne is known for the personal care and concern that comes from a small school environment. Students may choose from 34 undergraduate majors, as well as 25 minors and 17 master's degree programs. Although historically Fontbonne has been renowned for fine arts and education, today the university's largest department is business and administration. Nationally recognized programs in dietetics and communication disorders round out Fontbonne's traditional and innovative program offerings.
