Every school or every district has their own rules as far as age eligibility. But there is a limit and if you turn a certain age, for example, you turn 18 before your senior year starts, it may prevent you from competing or participating in school sports. I've known a guy who couldn't swim on the school swim team because he turned 18 or 19.
