I do notice that with the latest drug trafficking violence in Mexico, a lot of universities where they have study abroad program in various parts of Mexico has stopped their program temporarily.

Yes i agree safety is the number one concern in some of the destination choices for studying abroad program. A lot of times, political view and perspective differences can affect the relationships of the two countries and how the citizens in each country view each other.
