I'm personally against homeschooling. I think part of learning is through interaction with other people and being isolated, the student loses a huge part of socialization development.

I think for those students who excel past their own grade level. Homeschooling may benefit them as far as advancing to higher education level. However, missing being around people of your own age or lack of contact with other students may pose a problem with communication later on in life.
