I have some percentages here with me. Currently, as a nation, we are sitting at 8.9%. Other interesting stats are for foreign born workforce, their unemployment rate was at 5.8% in 2008, up from the previous year of 4.3%. According to stats obtained from CNN, as of 11/08, Michigan has the highest unemployment rate at 9.6%, with Rhode Island, California, S. Caroline and Oregon trailing closely behind. Wyoming ranked last at 3.2%. Hope it provides some insight for you.
